Outreach Plan: Vista Chamber of Congress
Project Overview:
As part of my CSUSM Senior Experience Project, I was a key member of a dynamic 5-person team, working with the Vista Chamber of Commerce to create an impactful outreach initiative to increase membership from Latino businesses in Vista. Engaging in this project not only allowed me to express my creativity through content creation but also provided a platform for me to take on a leadership role. The genuine passion I felt for this initiative transformed me into a powerhouse team member, contributing significantly to our collective success.
This project served as an excellent opportunity for collaboration, not only with the VCC and our academic advisor but also with my team. Despite the challenges of the lengthy three-month endeavor, filled with both highs and lows, the ultimate success we achieved made the collaborative aspect truly exciting.
Project Details:
Fieldwork Insights: We began with comprehensive industry research, uncovering trends and analyzing the landscape. To truly understand the needs of local Latino businesses, our team conducted in-depth interviews, providing valuable insights for our strategy.
Strategic Blueprint: To craft an outreach plan, we devised five diverse methods, content creation strategies, and a meticulous timeline. A significant contribution of mine involved creating all materials – from a compelling 3-fold brochure to engaging sample social media posts and blog content.
High-Stakes Presentation: Our efforts culminated in a presentation before the CEO, Rachel Beld, and esteemed board members. The positive reception underscored the relevance and effectiveness of our tailored plan.
Collaborative Success: This project showcased the powerful synergy between academia and industry. By bridging the gap, we not only met but exceeded expectations, impacting the Vista Chamber of Commerce's outreach efforts.
